Bookworm implements age-appropriate content controls to ensure compliance with child safety regulations including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and to provide age-appropriate Islamic educational content.

Initial Age Collection: • Users are prompted to enter their age during account creation • Age verification occurs before profile setup • Parental consent is required for users under 13 years of age Parental Consent Modal: • Displayed automatically for users under 13 • Available in multiple languages (English, French, Italian) • Requires explicit parental acknowledgment before account activation • Includes clear disclaimers about data collection and usage

Under 13 Years Old: • Content Access: Limited to Levels 1-3 only • Parental Oversight: Required parental consent for account creation • Data Protection: Enhanced privacy protections under COPPA compliance • Content Filtering: Age-appropriate Islamic educational materials only Ages 13-16 Years Old: • Content Access: Limited to Levels 1-4 • Supervision: Recommended parental oversight • Content Filtering: Developmentally appropriate Islamic content Ages 17 and Above: • Content Access: Full access to all educational levels • Account Control: Full account management capabilities
